chubby dog nation™ is a proud partner of nomv

Most days in a veterinary office are a joy—tiring but rewarding and awesome. We see puppies, kittens, sweet old dogs, and purring (sometimes hissing) kitties. We get kisses from the dogs we have known since they were puppies and get to be part of their lives for their whole lives. We also love the relationship with the pet owners and consider them part of our extended veterinary family.

Some days, however, are just really sad. Sad days are the toughest on all veterinary staff, and they take an achingly emotional toll.

An amazing program called Veterinary Mental Health Support (VMHS) by NOMV (Not One More Vet) provides an outlet for veterinarians, vet techs, and clinical staff.

NOMV is a free resource to address the mental health crisis in the veterinary profession by offering facilitated support groups to all veterinary medicine professionals and individual (one-on-one) sessions for veterinarians. This is close to my heart, and I hope it’s also close to yours.

We awarded NOMV a $5,000 financial sponsorship to kick off our partnership. And, going forward, a portion of proceeds from Chubby Dog Nation™ will be donated to NOMV, hoping to spread love and support to veterinarians and fellow veterinary staff peeps.

update!

On June 1, 2024, Chubby Dog Nation™ founder Jennifer Glasgow was elected as a Board of Directors Member at Large. We are over the moon to continue our partnership and support of NOMV in this new role.
