10 fun things to do with your dog!

1) stair climbing:

Stadium bleachers, building stairwells, or inside your own house, stair climbing is a great way for you and your dog to get some exercise together. Your hammies will thank you!

2) dog agility course

These super fun courses can be found at some dog parks or you can make your own with tunnels and poles available online. Too rainy or cold outside? Make an indoor course with couch cushions and orange cones!

3) tennis

A dog-friendly tennis court is a great, fenced in area to work on your serve while your pooch chases the ball. Bonus: the tennis court surface will help keep your pup’s nails filed down!

4) doga

A little downward facing dog with your dog may not be a whole lot of cardio but it’s sure to be relaxing and fun. Namaste!

5) tug of war

Who doesn’t love a good tug of war game? Make sure your dog knows it’s just a game by not letting them get too aggressive. Bonus: using a rope tug toy will also help keep teeth clean (the dog’s, not yours!).

6) dancing

Yep, dancing! Put on some tunes and dance the night away. You can work on a choreographed routine together or just free-style boogie!

7) hiking

With so many gorgeous hiking trails in the world, there is no shortage of fun to be had. Be sure to bring water for your pup and let the adventures begin! Check out Bing Fido.com for a list of trails in your area!

8) fetch and run

A spin on the old tried and true game of fetch. Start at one end of the yard and throw the ball for your pup. When he/she brings it back – both of you run to the opposite side of the yard and repeat. Cardio for all!

9) hide and seek

Get the whole family involved! You do the hiding and your pup does the seeking. Have a treat in your hand or just call out to your dog to give them a hint. Can be played indoors or outside.

10) frisbee

It’s a classic for a reason and Sadie insisted this be on the list as it is her favorite thing in the world! We like the Chuck-It™ brand because it’s softer than the traditional hard plastic frisbees, much easier on your pup’s mouth and teeth! Buy It Here!
